A
Nation of One is “a concise and poignant
collection of originals that document a man torn between two countries.”—Susan
Gedutis Lindsay, Boston Irish Reporter, November 2007
"Sean Kane’s
music closely parallels his unique journey through
life. He has lived in the cities and in the
country, in America, and abroad. Whether fronting a rock
& roll band or leading a traditional Irish seisiun, his energy
and passion are his hallmark. With a tenor voice as warm and
comforting as it is poignant and compelling, Sean will keep you
listening long into the night. His songs reveal his
soul, that of a man searching for truth, self- understanding, and
peace. They will tell a story, but then will skillfully take
that observational step back. The language is simplistic and yet
evocative, turning commonplace into poetry. With the backdrop
of a man torn between two homes, Sean has created characters and
emotions that will be remembered. Sean’s I must go
is my favorite and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if twenty
years from now, I’ll hear it in a Dublin seisuin.
Slainte Sean."
